With 191 curves in just 8 miles, the “Arizona Sidewinder” is known as the West Coast’s version of the “Tail Of The Dragon”. Not for the faint at heart, this two lane section of historic Route 66 twists and turns thru the canyons of Mohave County leaving many clutching to whatever they can. The lack of guardrails adds to the exhilaration.
Dragging floorboards and exhaust are common practice on this trip. Be sure to ride it in full, in both directions, as the ride is completely different whether you are coming or going. Stop in at the Saddle Sore Ranch while you are in the area. Located just 3 miles east of this amazing stretch of road.
